Katie practices and teaches Hatha Yoga.
"Yoga should be accessible to everyone. As both a student and teacher, I realize that many things motivate people to do yoga. Some people want to be more fit ore flexible; some need to take time to slow down. Others may be seeking help with illnesses. As a teacher, I keep in mind that our bodies that have been through different things and we need to respect where we are. I enjoy teaching everyone including beginners, athletes, kids and older adults. I am passionate about yoga and love to share the excitement."

The word "hatha" comes from the Sanskrit terms "ha," meaning "sun," and "tha," meaning "moon." Thus, Hatha Yoga is known as the branch of yoga that unites pairs of opposites referring to the positive (sun) and negative (moon) currents in the system. Hatha Yoga tries to achieve balance between body and mind, as well as attempts to free the more subtle spiritual elements of the mind through physical poses (or asanas), breathing techniques (or pranayama), and Meditation.
